Exhibition of "space" stamps was opened in Ufa

In Ufa a philatelic exhibition devoted to the Cosmonautics Day started its work. It was opened in the museum of the Ufa Main Post Office.

“At the exhibition collections of stamps, since 1957 are presented,” the museum attendant Vladimir Lebedkov said. “By images on stamps and envelopes it is possible to learn about outstanding scientists, about the theory of interplanetary messages, about satellites of the earth and, of course, about cosmonauts. This year the exposition includes stamps and envelopes which were issued not only in Russia, but also in other countries of the world — the USA, Italy, Germany, Poland, Romania.”

The exhibition will work till May holidays. These days all interested persons can visit a museum of mail service and familiarise with expositions. Also visitors can purchase envelopes and stamps devoted to the Cosmonautics Day.
