The delegation of Bashkiria takes part in Navruz celebrations in Turkey

In Turkish Republic it was started to celebrate "Navruz" — the New Year according to astronomical solar calendar. The project organised by the International organisation TURKSOY, gathered representatives of 18 Turk nations of the world, the Ministry of Culture RB informs. Within the limits of the holiday the opening ceremony of UNESCO Year -2013 “Eskişehir- a cultural capital of the Turkic world» will be held.

The official delegation of Bashkortostan takes part in the celebratory events headed by the Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government Liliya Gumerova. The Minister of Culture Amina Shafikova is in the part of the delegation.

The President of Turkey Abdulla Gjul welcomed delegation of culture and arts representatives, of the International organisation of Turkic culture (TURKSOY) in the Presidential palace. The Vice-Premier of the Government of the republic Liliya Gumerova extended the warmest wishes and words of greeting by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

The President of Turkey Abdullah Gül expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership of Bashkortostan and its multinational peoples for cooperation with TURKSOY and Turkey.

The meeting with the President of Turkey, and also the celebration events were accompanied by the sounds of Bashkir kuray.

During the visit the representatives of official delegation carried out negotiations with the head of Turkish Majlis, the governor of the city of Eskişehir and Gazi University on further mutually advantageous cooperation.
