«Germany in the focus of Bashkir amateur photographers» exhibition is open in Ufa

The Russian-German friendship society «Bashkortostan — Germany» and the Ufa Photography Academy organised a photocompetition «Germany in the focus of Bashkir amateur photographers» in the beginning of summer of the last year. It was spent within the limits of «The Year of Germany» announced in 2013 in the Russian regions. The competition should show how people from Russia perceive Germany cultural contacts with which have long history.

As the member of the organising committee, the known photo-master Nikolay Marochkin informs, more than 250 photos from 26 authors were received at the competition. Following the results of the competition a photo-exhibition opening is planned where winners will receive prizes. The international jury selected 100 pictures for the exposition.

“Preliminary estimation of photo works quality allows us drawing a conclusion that photo-exhibition will be a newsmaker in the cultural life of our republic,” Nikolay Marochkin marks.

The photo-exhibition will be opened in the City Recreation Centre at 18.00 on March 21.
