Celebration of the 140th anniversary from the date of Feodor Shalyapin's birth is held in Ufa

Today the celebrations devoted to the 140th anniversary from the date of birth of Feodor Shalyapin are held in Ufa.

It should be mentioned that representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the M.I.Glinki’s All-Russia Museum Association of Musical Culture, the A.A.Bahrushin’s State Central Theatre Museum, the International Shalyapin’s Centre (Moscow), the International Music Professionals Union, I.Arhipova’ Fund will take part in celebratory events.

Celebrations will start from laying the flowers to the memorial plate and the monument then in the F.I.Shalyapin’s Concert Hall the opening ceremony of the events devoted to the 140th anniversary from the date of the birth of the singer will take place.

The film about F.I.Shalyapin «Russia is seldom in my dreams» by the director Vera Fedorchenko will be shown in the Small Hall of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The exhibition «Feodor Shalyapin's Magic Crystal» from the funds of the State Central Theatre Museum and the All-Russia Museum Association of Musical Culture will be opened in the National Museum of Bashkortostan Republic.

In the evening celebrations will come to the end with grandiose gala concert at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre wh ere its soloists will take part, and also singers from leading theatres of Russia and Belarus — participants of the project «XXI-st Century Bassos».
