Soloist of the Bashkir Ballet Irina Sapozhnikova will dance with «Golden American Boy»
The debut of Bashkir ballet dancer Irina Sapozhnikova as Kitri in "Don Quixote" ballet by Ludwig Minkus will take place on the scene of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre on February 6.
Joseph Phillips, the «Golden American Boy», the soloist of «American Ballet» theatre will be her partner as Basil, a barber.
Last year Irina successfully debuted as Odetta-Odile in «Swan Lake» by Peter Tchaikovsky, Raimonde in the ballet by Alexander Glazunov with the same name and Medora in "Corsair" by Ludwig Minkus. Having deserved a praise of maestro Grigorovich at his competition «Young Ballet Dancers of the World», Irina one by one collected awards at prestigious dancing competitions: in Sochi, Istanbul, Donetsk, Krasnoyarsk, Rome. Irina and Joseph met in the project by Ruslan Nurtdinov «Stars of the World Ballet». Last autumn they together with dancers from Brazil, Argentina, Ukraine, the republic of South Africa travelled across Russia: from Khanty-Mansiysk to Krasnodar. Now Joseph will arrive to Ufa to support Irina in the new performance.
"Don Quixote" uses invariable popularity among the Ufa audience for already long period of time. Soloists and ballet dancers participate in the performance. The conductor of the symphonic orchestra is Herman Kim.
