Ufa will host the international festival «Christmas Meetings in Philharmonic Society»

The III International festival «Christmas Meetings in Philharmonic Society» will be held in the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society from December 8, till January 15, 2013.

The concert by pianist Vladimir Ovchinnikov will open the festival. Bach, Busoni and Liszt’s compositions will sound in his execution.

On December 10, in the Big Hall of Philharmonic Society the concert «In Rhythms of Brazil» will take place. Ufa townspeople will meet with the Brazilian singer, masterly guitarist and showman Lucas Imbiriba, the Russian guitarist and composer Alexander Vinnitsky and the musician, composer, singer, percussionist Michael Smirnov. In the program there are songs of modern Brazilian composers in the Portuguese language and instrumental music in samba and bossa nova style.

On December 15, «Masterpieces of Piano Music» in Veniamin Korobov's execution — Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Rakhmaninov's compositions will be played in the Organ Hall.

On December 17, Rovshan Shahbaz ogly Mamedkuliev, the Russian guitarist, the winner of All-Russia and international competitions will act on the Philharmonic Society scene. In July, 2012 he became the winner of the International Solo Competition of Guitar Foundation of America. Now Rovshan Mamedkuliev is the post-graduate student and the teacher of the Nizhniy Novgorod conservatory.
