Round-table conference on cinematography defined the industry problems

In Ufa a round-table conference on problems of the Bashkir cinematography development took place. Representatives of the republican film industry developed the concept of the Bashkir cinema development for 2013 — 2020. In the concept international and foreign trade activities, film production advancement, hire of films and professional training for the film industry are defined.

The statement on necessity of additional financing for the national cinematography development became a keynote of the whole session. The participants marked the absence of network of film complexes in republican areas. According to experts, about 18 percent of Bashkiria inhabitants are deprived of the opportunity to watch films on the large screen. And also the equipment at available cinemas is outdated.

The situation in the film studio "Bashkortostan" became one of the main topics of discussion. Due to insufficient financing it cannot produce more than one film a year.

The director of the film studio "Bashkortostan" Azamat Huzhahmetov said that there are a lot of other problems at the film studio, such as shortage of premises in particular. Meanwhile, as he said, «the film studio managed to achieve certain success: own feature films appeared, many of them became owners of prestigious film awards and prizes at various levels».

Following the results of the meeting representatives of the Bashkir cinematography agreed on the necessity of annual carrying out of film festivals and displays of youth films.
