She devoted her talant to the people of Bashkortostan

Today is the 90th anniversary from the date of birth of the known sculptor, painter and the master of arts and crafts Tamara Pavlovna Nechaeva.
Tamara Nechaeva was born on October 17, 1922 at the station Narodanaya of Voronezh Refion. Before the Great Patriotic War she studied in the Leningrad Art Studio, in 1941 was evacuated to Ufa and remained here for ever. In Ufa Tamara Nechaeva was strongly influenced by one of founders of the Bashkir school of painting artist Anatoly Lezhnev, the cousin of her mother.
In 1942 her first personal exhibition was organised in Ufa. In a year she was accepted to the Union of Artists. In 1946 her work the «Armour of Salavat» was highly appreciated at the art exhibition in Moscow. At the following exhibition in Moscow she became the winner of the second award for a sculptural portrait. Tamara Nechaeva was elected a member of the board of the Union of Artists RSFSR.
In the beginning she approved herself as a talented painter. Later Tamara Nechaeva one of the first in the republic created a number of monuments, small porcelain statuary. In the fifties of the last century she became the author of unique porcelain works, devoted to Bashkiria, its people and art.
Large monuments to Salavat Yulaev in the city of Paldiski (Estonia) and resort complex Yangan-Tau, to Sergey Aksakov and Shagit Hudaiberdin in Ufa became her best works. Sculptural pieces created by Nechaeva decorate streets and squares of many cities of Bashkortostan. She created portraits of her contemporaries – poet Mustai Karim, the composer Zagir Ismagilov, the Hero of Socialist Work Banat Batyrova.
Tamara Nechaeva died on her 81st year of life on August 16, 2003 and was buried in Ufa.
