The Bashkir Opera Theatre will tell how all women do

The Bashkir Opera and Ballet House opens the next season with a premiere of Mozart’s “Thus Do They All, or The School For Lovers”.
“Even researchers of the composer creative work guess why his last opera-buffa remained out of sight of opera theatres,” the employee of the literature department of Bashkir Opera and Ballet House Valentine Aishpor said. It was considered as no more than a thoughtless farce though they paid tribute to its brilliant music. Today «The School For Lovers» became one of the most popular compositions. For the last years it was put up in The Mariinsky Theatre, The Boris Pokrovsky Theatre, The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre, The Perm Opera Theatre, and, at last, in Ufa.
The group of directors is headed by the known opera director George Isaakjan. He has already worked in Bashkiria, having put up Ismagilov’s «Ambassadors of Urals» and "Prince Igor" by Borodin. The art director is Austrian scene-designer Hartmut Schoerghofer. Artem Makarov, the main conductor of the Bashkir opera will be at the conductor's desk. The opera is performed in the Russian language, the first night is on October 5 and 6.
