Celebration of Michael Nesterov’s 150th anniversary was continued in the evening at the Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the solemn evening party with the speech of welcome.

“The painting school of our Republic and our land is notable for its talents and Michael Nesterov was the man, who unintentionally made a foundation for this school. Sure, our task today is to support our painters. The museum, named after Michael Nesterov, needs expansion and its own depository. Ufa also needs a House of Painters. We have all that in our plans and, of course, we want to erect these necessary constructions in order more and more people would be able to watch that beauty, which is kept in our storage rooms now”.
