A meeting of TURKSOY Permanent Council of ministers of culture is opened in Ufa

The jubilee XX meeting of TUKSOY Permanent Council of ministers of culture is opened in Ufa Congress-Hall. Representatives of ministries of culture of the countries-TURKSOY members-Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey – and observers – representatives of Russian regions – Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tuva, Yakutia and Gagauzia on Republic of Moldova and representatives of Russian Ministry of culture are taking part in it. The deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Salavat Sagitov, acting Minister of culture RB Kamila Davletova and TURKSOY general secretary Dusen Kaseinov welcomed the guests.

Members of TURKSOY discussed the report about TURKSOY activity for the last year and the program for the next one.

Ufa receives participants of such meeting for the third time. Members of TURKSOY Permanent Council of ministers of culture visited Bashkiria in 2000 and 2003. Bashkortostan traditionally actively takes part in all TURKSOY actions: here international music festival of Turk youth “Ural Mono” and international theatrical festival of Turk-speaking theaters “TUGANLYK”. The TURKSOY VI international laboratory of photo-painters has taken place in Ufa in 2010. International contest of translations of Turk poetry “AK TORNA” and international contest of folk orchestras “The Call of Ural” were organized here too.

Official closure of the meeting and signing of the final documents will take place in Congress-Hall on September 7 at 15 o’clock.
