Mustai Karim’s Monument to appear in Ufa

The monument to the outstanding Bashkir writer, the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim will be established in Kirov Street in the autumn of 2013, the Ministry of Culture RB reports.

It was Moscow sculptor Andrey Kovalchuk who was lucky to immortalise an image of Mustafa Safich in bronze– he became the winner of the art competition spent by the Ministry of Culture RB.

The sculpture will represent a bronze figure of Mustai Karim, the business webportal ufatime.ru reports. Behind it three-dimensional composition of flying up pages of his manuscripts should be placed. According to the idea of creators, it should call «associations with a wing of a bird». All composition will be located in the pool with running water on a slightly inclined surface (a symbol of continuous tide of life). The general height of a sculptural composition of the monument will make six metres. In the public garden flower beds, two fountains, new foot paths will be arranged at the monument. The coating of the square will be replaced with stone blocks and granite slabs of different colours.
