Festival of folk dance ensembles for the prize by Faizi Gaskarov to be held in Ufa

The VI interregional festival of folk dance ensembles for the prize by Faizi Gaskarov, devoted to the 100th anniversary from the birthday of the famous dancer, will be held in Ufa on May 18-20.

For the first time the festival has taken place in 1987. It is held once in three years and 27 amateur ensembles from Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Tyumen region will dance in Ufa this year. The festival is organized by the Ministry for culture RB, Republican Folk Art Center and by the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble by Faizi Gaskarov.

The festival will be held at the Bashkir State Academic Dramatic Theater and the final gala-show and the flower ceremony – in the Culture Palace “NEFTYANIK” on May 20 at 15 o’clock.
