Republican folk art festival to be held in Ufa

Republican folk art festival will take place in the Culture Palace “NEFTYANIK” on April 14 and winners of such contests as “URAL MONO”, “DUSLYK MONO” and “Epiphany Frosts” will participate in it. The festival is dated to the 75th jubilee of the Republican Folk Art Center and interregional conference “The role of folk art centers in preservation of cultural heritage of aboriginal nations in Russian Federation” will be one of the main events. More than 100 people- directors of folk art centers from Republic of Komi, Khabarovsk region, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Saratov and other Russian regions, scientists from the Institute of history, language and literature RB, Chelyabinsk State Arts Academy and Ufa State Academy of Arts will take part in it. Photo-exhibition “Our history” and works of the best arts and crafts masters will be demonstrated in the foyer of the Culture Palace (woodcarving, birch bark works, braiding, downy knitted shawls, traditional and decorative felt and saddlery).
