Festival of Bashkir culture has taken in Yekaterinburg

The X regional festival of Bashkir culture, devoted to the 200th anniversary of Russian victory in the Patriotic War of 1812, has taken place in Yekaterinburg. It was organized by the Ministry for culture and tourism of Sverdlovsk region, Folk Art Palace “URALMACH”, Sverdlovsk regional Bashkir center and the Ministry for culture RB with the assistance of the Bashkir Youth Union of Chelyabinsk region.

The festival gathered about 100 Bashkir amateur bands from Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions and from Bashkortostan. Spectators might watch theatrical versions of various events of 1812:leave-taking of Bashkir warriors with wives; national dances and songs, awarding of Bashkir best warriors etc. The whole action was deprived of the sprint of competition and the main thing for Bashkir amateur artists was to show the atmosphere of those historical events and to tell the spectators about great contribution of Bashkirs to the victory of 1812.
