Photographer from Ufa Vladimir Kovalchuk has become the winner of the photo-project “Best of Russia-2011”

Three works of the photographer Vladimir Kovalchuk from Ufa – “Small Happiness”, “Portrait of a Girl” and “Prosiness” are announced the best photos of the all-Russian contest.

The all-Russian annual project “Best of Russia-2011” was organized in 2008. Any photographer of Russia may take part in it and the only condition is that all photos have be shot in Russia within the period between September 2010 and October 2011 and the goal of the project is to depict one year of Russia’s life in the most extraordinary and original 365 photos.

More than 30 thousand works have been submitted to the contest in 2011. The jury has chosen 309 photos-winners. All these photos will be demonstrated in Moscow, the Modern Art Center “VINZAVOD”. Further the exhibition will leave on a trip to the biggest Russian and international sites. The photo-album will be also issued by the contest’s totals.

The exposition at “VINZAVOD” will function from February 9 and till March 11.
