BST will show TV programs about Bashkirs in Turkey

The producer of the Bashkir satellite TV Rafil Asylguzin and the cameraman Ildar Nasretdinov have shot a series of short films about life of Bashkirs in Turkey in the Turkish cities of Ankara and Istanbul with the assistance of the international organization “TURKSOY”. As the representative of the Ministry of culture RB in TURKSOY Akhat Salikhov reported to the news agency “Bashinform”, the TV-journalists made the films about everyday life of Bashkirs in Turkey and about the library of the first Khakass professor Nikolai Katanov, whose 150th anniversary would be celebrated in 2012. The professor Katanov investigated the ethnography of Bashkirs along with ethnography and languages of many other Turk nations and exerted great influence on formation of the scientific views of the famous Bashkir scientist Akhmet-Zaki Validi Togan. At present time the private library of Nikolai Katanov is kept by the Istanbul University. As it is known, the international organization “TUKSOY” announced 2012 the Year of the Khakass scientist Nikolai Katanov and the Azerbaijani writer Mirza Fatali Akhundov.
The Bashkir satellite TV intends to prepare the TV-programs and a documentary on the base of the materials, shot in Turkey.
