An Udmurt folklore band is established in Bashkortostan

An Udmurt folklore vocal-instrumental band is established in the Udmurt historical-cultural center “NOVYE TATYSHLY” (Tatyshlinsky region of Bashkortostan), the head of the center Antonida Shaibakova reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.
The band consists of eight musicians, playing psaltery, mouth harmonica, button accordion, flute, double-bass and tambourine and all musicians are the citizens of local Udmurt rural settlements.
“The musicians haven't yet found the name for the band” - Antonida Shaibakova said to “Bashinform” - “But they already say that the band will consist of men only, playing exclusively Udmurt national music”.
The first show of the band has taken place at the folklore festival “Inflorescence of Friendship”, held not long ago. The musicians intend to tour in Bashkortostan and beyond.
