Bashkortostan is preparing itself for the Aksakov’s holiday and in 2011 it is dated to the II Congress of Russians RB. The main actions of the festival will be held on September 30 and on October 1 and 2.

The press-service of the Sergey Aksakov’s Memorial House-Museum reports the arrival of guests from other Russian regions and abroad is traditionally expected this year too. In particular, delegations from Bulgaria, Tatarstan and Chelyabinsk region will arrive in Bashkiria to revere Aksakov’s memory. Besides, a large delegation of cosmonauts and polar researchers from Moscow and the famous Russian folk singer Tatiana Petrova are expected too.

On September 30 the exhibition, consisting of the pictures from the collection of the patron and a member of the Aksakov Fund Vyacheslaw Abroshenko, will be opened in the Aksakov’s Memorial House-Museum. Same day the exhibition “Aksakov’s Motherland” will start working in the main hall of “AF Bank”.

The show of children’s folk collectives will take place also on Friday in the village KASIMOVO – the former estate of Sergey Aksakov’s grandfather.

The annual student Aksakov’s ball and the ceremony of presentation of the diplomas by the international fund of Slavic literature and culture and of the Aksakov’s student awards, established by the Ufa administration, will take place at the Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet on September 30 in the evening. The gala-show of the Masters of Arts RB will be held here too after the end of the flower ceremony.

The festive arrangements will be continued in the Aksakov’s historical-cultural center “NADEJDINO”, in the town of Belebey, in Karmaskalinsky region of Bashkortostan and in the village ZUBOVO near Ufa. The Aksakov’s holiday will be over on October 2 in the Aksakov’s Memorial House-Museum after the evening party “Visiting Sergey Aksakov”.
