Soloists of Mariinsky Theatre will play the leading parts in the «Swan Lake» ballet in Ufa

The «Swan Lake» by Peter Tchaikovsky is in the program of the Rudolf Nureyev International Festival of Ballet Art on June 15. Soloists of Mariinsky Theatre Ekaterina Kondaurova (Odetta-Odilliya) and Eugenie Ivanchenko (Zigfrid) are invited to the leading parts.

According to the metropolitan press, Ekaterina Kondaurova possesses a bright individuality distinguishing her among young dancers of the well-known troupe. The premier of the theatre Eugenie Ivanchenko is a skilled master known not only in Russia, but abroad too.

In addition it can be mentioned that Ekaterina Kondaurova was born in Moscow. In 2001 she graduated from the Vaganova A.J. Academy of Russian Ballet. Since the same year she is in the troupe of Mariinsky Theatre. She participated in the theatre tours in the Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Norway, China, the USA. She is the winner of the higher theatrical award of St.-Petersburg «Zolotoi Sofit» in the nomination «the Best female lead in a ballet performance» in 2008 – for Alma's part in the performance «Glass Heart» and in 2010 – for Anna Karenina's part in the ballet with the same name.

Euvgenie Ivanchenko was born in Ashkhabad (Turkmenia). He graduated from the Vaganova A.J. Academy of Russian Ballet. Since 1992 he works in the troupe of Mariinsky Theatre, since 1996 he is the soloist. With the troupe of Mariinsky theatre he was on tour in Azerbaijan, the Great Britain, Holland, Norway, Korea.
