Orenburg Dramatic Theater starts touring in Ufa

Orenburg State Regional Dramatic Theater by M. Gorky under the guidance of the national artist of Russia, our compatriot Rifkat Israfilov – the theater’s permanent art director since 1997, will be on tour in Ufa in April 10-13.

Heading the theater in Orenburg for nearly 15 years Rifkat Israilov has moved it on a new level of participation in development of theatrical art in Russia and abroad. The theater’s performances are the laureates of the prestigious theatrical festivals in Moscow, Pskov, Vologda, Simferopol, Orel, Tambov, Rostov-on-Don, Kostroma, Marseille (France) and Yaroslavl. In 2008 Orenburg Dramatic Theater was rewarded with the Russian Government’s Award by Theodore Volkov for its services in development of theatrical art in the country.

The repertoire of the theater in Ufa tour will include two works: the musical by Leonard Bernstein and Arthur Lorenz “The Westside Story” and the comedy “The Clinical Case” by Ray Cooney.
