Personal exhibition of Olga and Airat Maglievs is opened in Ufa

Personal exhibition of Olga and Airat Maglievs is opened in Ufa in the small exhibition hall of the Painters Union RB. This creative family presents marble sculptures and pictures in the batik technique to the visitors.

Airat Magliev is a sculptor, a member of the Painters Union of Russia and permanent participant of the ice sculpture festivals. He is the chief of “YASFIO” – the creative association of painters from different Russian cities. His wife Olga works exclusively in the batik style and all her works are very bright and vivid, excellently supplementing the sculptures, made by her husband.

As Airat Magliev says, marble is the same as plasticine and it is quite easy for him to work with this stone.

“I handle the stone as I like and my works demonstrate the language of the sculptor’s plastics” – he says – “The main aim of the creator is to show that his work isn’t hand-made but the element, created by nature”.

The pictures in the batik style, presented by Olga Maglieva, possess special expressiveness.

“If I draw a city, I should have special spacious vision and special color combination” – she says – “I combine décor and texture plus my personal attitude to the idea”.

The exhibition, presented by Maglievs, will work till March 15.
