Prisoners from Bashkiria will take part in the international contest

The selection of the works of the pretenders to participation in the VI contest of prison art is over. The contest will be opened in June 28 in Toronto (Canada) during the Congress of the International Prison Fellowship Association.

The works by Ulamanov from the Ufa correctional facility N2, D. Davydov and R. Muzafarov from the correctional facility N13 and V. Chichikova from the correctional facility N6 have left for Moscow and now these pictures get a chance to be demonstrated in Canada, the press-service of the Federal Sentence Implementation Service in RB reports.

The contest is held by three categories: graphics, painting and applied art. The authors of the best works will be rewarded with the money prizes. The winners receive 400 dollars; the second place is estimated at 200 and the third- at 100 dollars. According to the terms of the contest the company, which sponsors the winners, receives 50% of the sum. The contest is called “Hope, Forgiveness, Recovery, Freedom” and all works, submitted to the contest, should follow this theme.
