Vil Gabdullin - 11-time Russia champion in martial arts

Multiple world kickboxing and martial arts champions, including Ufa resident Vil Gabdullin, won the Russian championship in a sports mix fight. The athlete won two gold medals in the brutal style section with weapons (nunchaku and hanbo) and became an 11-time national champion in martial arts.

The tournament took place on April 23-24 in Dagestan. More than 750 athletes from Russian regions came to the performances. The Republic of Dagestan won first place, the Chechen Republic won second, and the Astrakhan team won third.

“Before going to the tournament, I met with the head of the administration of the Sovetsky district, Aidar Bazgudinov. He said his parting words before going to the championship and wished to return with a victory. I kept my word,” says Vil Gabdullin.

Vil Gabdullin competed in the World Shootboxing Championships in Cairo in February of this year as part of the Russian team and became a 45-time world champion in martial arts.

Vil Gabdullin is an Honored Master of Sports of Russia in kickboxing, a six-time champion of Russia, a four-time winner of the Russian Cup, a seven-time champion of international competitions, and a two-time European champion.
