From January to March 2024, more than 17 thousand TEUs of various cargo in containers were transported from the stations of the Kuibyshev Railway in the Republic of Bashkortostan. This is 3.9% more than in the same period last year, according to the Russian Railways press service.
The expansion of cargo variety has played a crucial role in the growth of container transportation. Container trains from Bashkiria have been instrumental in delivering a diverse range of goods, including soda ash, rubber, chipboard, food products, grain crops, and cakes, to different country regions and for export. In the first quarter alone, 50 container trains were formed in Bashkiria, showcasing the industry's versatility and potential.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that container transportation on the Kuibyshev Railway increased by almost a quarter in January-September.
